School Age Summer Care
Kaleidoscope offers full and part time child care for children from Kindergarten to 11 years of age. The program follows a similar theme to the day camp program but provides more activities and extended hours of care (7:00 am to 6:00 pm). Cost: $625.00 per month or $175.00 per week Regular part-time summer care is available at a pro-rated fee. The theme for Kaleidoscope’s 2010 summer program will be “Summer Mystery Tour”. Each week the children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of field trips and related activities. Children will be given clues as to the type and location of each day’s outing. In addition to outings, your child will have opportunities to participate in stories, games, art, sports and playground time on a daily basis. Outings will include, but not be limited to: Stanley Park and Third Beach Rock climbing Chuck E Cheese Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge Splash Down Park Crash Crawlies Granville Island Water Park Science World Maple Grove Park and pool Watermania The Great Escape HR MacMillan Space Center
To accommodate all of our activities, groups may leave as early as 9:15 am for field trips. We will return to Kaleidoscope by 3:30 pm. It is recommended that parents check the sign out book daily for field trip information or important notes. We will require swimming levels for all children for swimming activities. Please provide a report card with the most recent level your child has successfully completed. If your child does not attend swimming lessons an assessment will be completed with Kaleidoscope.
